File De Wetshof - Local Awards Summary for September and October 2011.
2011 has been a really great year for De Wetshof and our wines received numerous awards from all over the world, including Chardonnay Du Monde (France), Decanter (UK), IWSC (UK), The Wine Spectator (USA), Tanzer (USA), Robert Parker (USA) and now also locally. Please find attached a media release with some local achievements by our wines during the past two months.
News Item 4 De Wetshof wines break 90 point barrier in Parker's Wine Advocate
Four Chardonnays from De Wetshof Estate, the pioneering Chardonnay wine farm in the Robertson Wine Valley, scored 90 points or more in the recent judging of South African wines by the Wine Advocate which is published by the famed American critic Robert Parker.

Sushi, wine-tasting, Chardonnay Masterclasses, great weather (mostly) and wonderful food all helped make this year's Wacky Wine Week-end a tremendous success on the De Wetshof Estate. Hot on the heels of an array of eye-catching ratings from Wine Spectator, De Wetshof has just received two 90 point scores from respected American critic Steven Tanzer, publisher of the International Wine Cellar. The wines in question are the Limestone Hill 2010 and the Bateleur Chardonnay.

Leading the De Wetshof line-up tasted by judge James Molesworth was the Estate's icon, the Bateleur Chardonnay 2007, which garnered 90 points out of a possible 100.
