Ken Forrester February 2011 Newsletter
The harvest activities have started with a bang!! It was one of our earliest harvests, the reason being that for the first time we picked a small crop of Chenin to make Méthode Cap Classique (MCC). Last week was also a hive of activity when Ken and Teresa hosted journalists Nicolette Waterford, Melvyn Minnaar and Luvo Ntezo, sommelier at the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa. The trio flew in by helicopter in time for the start of the harvest in the FMC vineyard. The day was especially exciting for the farm workers as they were treated with short helicopter rides!
