Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons

A joint venture between the Rupert family from South Africa and the Rothschild family in France, Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons are Bordeaux specialists at heart, with a core focus on three quality wines. The Rupert & Rothschild partnership was formed in 1997 by the late Dr Anton Rupert of South Africa and the late Baron Edmond de Rothschild of France. Today, this collaboration is perpetuated at Fredericksburg, the historic French Huguenot farm established in 1690 at the foot of the spectacular Simonsberg mountain in the Franschhoek Valley. André Roux and Kayla Oertle-Morse head up the winemaking team, ensuring beautifully balanced, refined, and elegant Bordeaux blends and Chardonnay.

Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine Chardonnay
Every wine has a story in the Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons collaboration. The Baroness Nadine Chardonnay, named after Baroness Nadine de Rothschild, is a single varietal Chardonnay, with portions of the wine being fermented and matured in concrete egg tanks, in Foudres and 300L French oak barrels - each adding individual characteristics and layers to the wine.
