Meridian

Our Theme for 2012

Every year our design team is given the challenge of designing an image that epitomises our theme for the year. We are proud of our 2012 theme logo designed by our head graphic designer, Sean Stopforth. This year's theme is inspired by the excellent people in our company, our continued growth as a business, built on the success of our brands and the celebration of life with food, wine and friends. All of these combine with our mission statement of Linking Wine with People.

Portfolio

The Meridian portfolio is divided into, Meridian Latitude and Meridian Longitude each of which has it's own national sales team headed up by national and regional sales managers, the distinction between the two being -

Latitude - From the Latin word "latus", meaning wide, focusing on the brands driving growth and requiring broad distribution through all sales channels,

Longitude - Represents the brands that require more allocation control and very specific brand positioning in specific sales channels.

Sales Team

Meridian's national sales team is made up of a passionate and vibrant group of 'wine ambassadors' dedicated to the brands they live and represent, in striving to provide the excellent service we pride ourselves on, we focus not only on wine sales and distribution but on wine and brand marketing as well and in so doing offer a full range of valued services.

Meridian's wine ambassadors each represent specific brands, this focused approach to sales ensures that the sales team has an intimate knowledge of the wines and farms on their portfolio and that they are fully equipped with the tools needed to facilitate wine tastings and training throughout.

Added to this is Meridian's close affiliation to The Cape Wine Academy, which provides for further, more in depth, accredited training on all levels.

Distribution

Meridian endorses the Cool Wines initiative, of temperature controlled distribution. The Cool Wines logo is a guarantee that Meridian's wines are transported from the farms to your outlet under temperature controlled conditions of 18°C, reducing the rate of deterioration, oxidation and the likelihood of bacterial infection significantly.

Graphics Department

Meridian has a National Graphic Design Team, who pride themselves on producing top quality designs for your restaurant or liquor outlet. Graphic Design is a collaborative process between a client and a designer to convey a specific message to a targeted audience, from concept to the final printed product, we offer wine lists (with durable wine list covers in various sizes and colours), posters (from A4 to A0), table talkers, shelf talkers, invitations, signage and much more.
