Protea Chenin Blanc 2010

A somewhat shy nose which displays melon fruit with an undertone of fynbos. The taste makes up for the bouquet with a full, fruity tropical mouthful. Abundant peachy stone fruit and lemongrass with just a hint of honeyed ripeness. The acidity is lively but restrained. Fruited zesty aftertaste.

The Chenin blanc shows aromas of stone fruit, citrus and some floral notes. Good fruit structure, voluptuous mouth feel and a long finish.  Pear & quince nuances to delicate 2010 preview, satisfying depth & length. (Platter 2011)
