Protea Sauvignon Blanc 2010
Bold tropical fig and gooseberry aromas with floral, grassy note underneath. Gravelly flint entry onto the palate with a zesty lime cordial and white pepper bite. Crisp and fresh with typically lively acidity. Good length of flavour on a lean – but fruited – frame.

The wine shows typical Sauvignon characters of passion fruit, melon and tropical aromas with mineral undertones. Luscious and full with finely balanced acidity and a dry finish. 2010's shy nose belies its rather commanding palate: arresting granadilla flavours/acidity & bone-dry finish softened by dense fruit.
