An intense and fresh yet rounded wine showing lime and freshly cut grass with hints of green apple peel. A crisp natural acidity which vibrantly expresses the natural aromas and flavours of this varietal.

Fabulous density of flavour, layered complexity & balance; 06 redolent of just-cut-grass, canned-pea breadth nipped by crisp tail. 36 hr cold soak, full yr lees contact, another yr in bottle. Enjoy now at a fine table. (Platter 2009) The sauvignon blanc reserve 2006 is an intense and fresh, yet rounded wine showing lime and freshly cut grass with hints of green apple peel on the nose. The carefully selected vineyards in high altitude sites give this wine a crisp natural acidity which vibrantly expresses the natural aromas and flavours of this varietal. 07 (*** 1/2) less convincing than layered & poised 06 but appealing asparagus & tinned pea notes, rounding from lees-ageing & btl-age, finish & acidity tad tiring, needs drinking. (Platter 2011)
