Pierre Jourdan Blanc de Blancs 2008
The wood maturation contributes a spiciness. The Chardonnay gives a fresh lime character, accentuated by the vanilla flavour of the Argonne oak.

100% Chardonnay Cap Classique. Subtly wooded. Striking creamy yellow colour. Fresh lime character with vanilla accents. (100% Chardonnay) Methode Cap Classique. Typically French in character, 5 to 6 months in French oak, an elegantly smooth wine. Lime from the Chardonnay, vanilla from the French oak - what a classically fine combination. (100% Chardonnay) Methode Cap Classique. Pale, elegant and delicately poised - Granny Smith apples in a glass. Fragrant, seductive, fine-beaded MCC from 100% chard, best vyds. Full-flavoured, ripe-apple palate demands 2nd glass. Enriched by 30 mths on lees, portion oaked. (Platter 2009) Produced from 100% chardonnay of which 40% has been matured in wood. This bubbly is sublime with the chardonnay giving a fresh lime character to the wine and accentuated by the vanilla flavours of the oak.
