De Grendel
Few places on earth offer such a spectacular outlook. Nestled atop Tygerberg Hill, De Grendel showcases Table Mountain, the city and the seaboard all in one landscape. Just 20 minutes from the city, you will be greeted by a dramatic expanse of land that is home to our vineyards, carefully crafted by Winemaker's Guild member Charles Hopkins, producing prestigious wines of consistently exceptional quality.

De Grendel Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc 2010The Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc differs stylistically from our De Grendel Sauvignon Blanc as the flavour spectrum leans more towards the green side, yet with ripe flavours of capsicum, asparagus and gooseberries. Supported by a firm acidity it is a full bodied white wine with a strong and long finish. |
De Grendel Winifred 2009Apricot, peach and tropical citrus notes accompanied by broadness and structure. |
De Grendel Op Die Berg Pinot Noir 2008This Pinot Noir exudes red cherries, black berries and roasted nuts, delivered through a velvety texture. |
De Grendel Rubaiyat 2006This Bordeaux style of wine has a deep purple color with red hints on the appearance of the wine. The nose is a combination of black fruit, chocolate, light spices and vanilla characters. The palate is full, well balanced with a broad mid palate and lengthy finish. |
