De Grendel Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc 2011
The Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc is stylistically different from our De Grendel Sauvignon Blanc. The Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc has a fuller and richer style, with intense ripe tropical flavours on both nose and palate. This is a full bodied white wine, with a long finish, backed by fresh acidity.

From selected block; less overt ripeness but greater complexity than sibling. Youthful 08 (****stars) more restrained than 07 yet core of chalky minerality typical of the best of Durbanville. Promise of good development. (Platter 2009) Flavours of white fruit, canned peas and gooseberry. Impressive with outstanding rich layered fruit and a full mouth-feel. The Koetshuis Sauvignon Blanc differs stylistically from our De Grendel Sauvignon Blanc as the flavour spectrum leans more towards the green side, yet with ripe flavours of capsicum, asparagus and gooseberries. Supported by a firm acidity it is a full bodied white wine with a strong and long finish.
