Ernie Els Proprietor's Blend 2010
Strong oak, cigar box and tobacco aromas supported by hints of spice. Full, juicy red fruits and aromas of jasmine combine with flavours of dark plum and cassis.

A unique blend of six varietals. Rich and rewarding - a wine that displays a flavour intensity of a truly memorable experience. Five Bdx vars in 06, cab dominant with 20% shiraz. Admirable fruit concentration, full-ripe, opulent, underscored by fine-grained tannins, already harmonious. Silky, satisfyingly savoury, made for fine dining. (Platter 2009) The proprietors blend has been created to celebrate the distinct palates of Ernie Els (Bordeaux style) and Jean Engelbrecht (shiraz-based style) to crown their new venture. A unique blend of six varietals and a first for South Africa. Upon drinking, the challenge and risk involved in making this wine was worth every minute of lost sleep says winemaker Louis Strydom.
