Ken Forrester

With a 20 year background in hotel keeping and restaurants, renowned not just for the cuisine but for the most extensive wine lists in the land, it was perhaps a natural step for wine fiend Ken Forrester to finally produce his own wines. This historic property in the Stellenbosch region, below the Helderberg, granted in 1689 by Governor Simon van der Stel and 33ha of mature vines (20-30 years old) saw to it that the dream of producing quality wines could in fact be realized. With the aid and advice of master winemaker and friend Martin Meinert, the Ken Forrester brand is already highly sought after, on many top lists locally and achieving a steady string of successes in the overseas markets.
