Ken Forrester Chenin Blanc Reserve 2010
Harmonious balance between fruit and delicate oak, vanilla flavours. Dried apricot and pineapple, with a hint of vanilla and some typical Chenin honey notes on a long lasting finish.

This wine is a great example of the harmonious balance which can be achieved between fruit and delicate oak/vanilla flavours, as they combine to form complex, soft flavours with sufficient body to enhance even spicy and full flavoured meals. “Doesn’t put a foot wrong”. A wooded Chenin, full of tropical fruit and toffee apple flavours. A lush, intense wine with mastered complexity and a lively crisp finish. Partly oaked version ex low-yield vyds, normally inc touch botrytis. 07’s intense quince tones highlighted by honey & almond whiffs. Creamy texture courtesy brl/lees ageing (9 mths, 2nd/3d fill Fr) countered by refreshing lime acidity. (Platter 2009) A harmonius balance between fruit and oak flavours with rich botrytis notes on the palate.
