The pinnacle of what we consider to be the finest expression of the grapes of this varietal – An icon Chenin, a challenge to the world! Complex, full palate showing vanilla and honey flavours and a forever finish. Will age beautifully for many years. A big, bold, gorgeous, wooded wine. Voluptuous, but not “over the top”. A hint of sugar from the drop of T, but still remains deliciously dry. A wine that is undoubtedly putting Cape Chenin “indelibly on the map” From old bushvines; one of SA's benchmark brl ferm/aged versions, usually with touch botrytis. 06 v rich; presents its stonefruit, honey & buttered toast flavours in silky layers, fuses them with smart new-oak detail, cuts them with tangy lime acidity. (Platter 2009) Powerful and gorgeous tropical fruit flavours, with voluptuous body and ultra-long, satiny finish. Among the best South African chenins and Kens challenge to the rest of the world. Best single variety white wine over £10 from S.A at Decanter World Wine Awards 2007 This wine proves to all those “chenin blanc sceptics” that world class wines are made from this varietal and that South Africa is up there with the best. Made from 30 year old vines. Powerful and gorgeous tropical fruit flavours, with voluptuous body and ultra-long, satiny finish. The complex structure of this wine makes it a sturdy “food wine”.
