Meinert
Meinert Wines in the Devon Valley, Stellenbosch, is a small (6000 cases) premium producer of one white wine and three reds. Established in 1997 it is the private venture of former Vergelegen winemaker Martin Meinert. The focus is on two blends, Synchronicity and the Devon Crest, made possible by the excellent Devon Valley sites. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon blanc are also bottled.
Meinert La Barry Sauvignon Blanc 2011The La Barry has delicate floral fruit with underlying grassier tones, but is gentle enough to keep coming back for another glass. |

Meinert Printer's Ink Pinotage 2007Full-bodied and elegant yet it has richness on the mid-palate. We place the emphasis on fruit flavours by using gentle extraction methods, thereby also avoiding hard tannins. Enjoy with roast meats or casseroles, and surprisingly, when slightly chilled, with sushi. Ageing potential: up to 10 years. |

Meinert Merlot 2009An appetising mix of redcurrant, mint, spice and mineral aromas. The palate is soft with a touch of firmness on the finish. (2004 AVAILABLE IN 1.5LTR) |
|
Meinert Cabernet Sauvignon 2008A refreshing, well-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with elegance and an exciting mix of red berry, cherry, spicy toasty oak and liquorice. (2007 AVAILABLE IN 1.5LTR) |
|
Meinert Devon Crest 2006Classically elegant yet complex, with ripe berry and red cherry flavours mingled with spicy mint and leathery tones. Smooth and velvety already in youth, set to grow even more mellow. (2004 AVAILABLE IN 1.5ltr) |
|
Meinert Synchronicity 2007Ripe black cherry, plum and mulberry whiffs with hints of cigar and cedar. A big, rich wine that despite its power retains a fine elegant core. Complete and balanced by its elements. (2007 AVAILABLE IN 1.5ltr) |
