MM's first white here is bone-dry blnd ex Elgin, Groeneklf grapes; preview 08 offers fresh, well-defined guava, granadilla aromas interwoven with lemongrass. Moderate 13% alc, gd intensity & length. (Platter 2009) The La Barry sauvignon blanc is the refreshing outcome of a promise made by Martin Meinert to his bride on their wedding day. The wine is crisp and lively, yet elegant, just the way Leigh Ann likes it. Great, I would say from a specialist red winemaker!! This wine was launched as a wedding gift to my wife, Leigh Ann Barry. She enjoys Sauvignon blancs with "drama", but I have tired of harsh, green Sauvignon blanc and therefore tried to steer a middle course.
