Scarlet colour, aromas blackcurrant, bayleaf & violets on 05. Gd complexity aided by 15% cab; handles 14.2% alc weight well, fresh uplifting fruit on integrated palate. Intelligent use 2nd/3rd-fill oak, 18 mths. (Platter 2009) An elegant fruity and soft Merlot with, as always, classical Meinert tones. Excellent food wine with redcurrant, mint, spice and mineral aromas and a smooth crisp finish.
