Very expressive spicy aromas on the nose. Rose petals, litchis and sweet tropical fruit flavours follow through on the palate. The late harvested fruit provides a delicate sweetness, kept in balance by the refreshing acidity. This wine has a beautifully concentrated fruit intensity and it is famous for its longevity. For 31 yrs now, this Special Late Harvest a sweet treat. 08 ex-tank alluring as ever: roses, fenugreek, lime & Turkish Delight. Usually 11+% alc. (Platter 2009) When nosing the wine, one picks up a beautiful melange of rose petal and litchi fruit flavours which is so typical of Gewurztraminer. This follows through on the palate. Always poised and delicate; a firm favourite.
