The yeasty bouquet follows through to the unmistakable character of freshly baked bread on the palate. The mousse is refined with a gentle, creamy texture which enhances the exquisite roasted almond nuttiness. The Kaapse Vonkel has beautiful finesse and the elegant finish lingers well, leaving the taste buds calling for more. SA’s first bottle-fermented bubbly, usually chardonnay & pinot noir with dash pinot meunier, some oak; no new vintage tasted. Last edition 06 had apple freshness, anise finish to rich mouthful. (Platter 2009) South Africa`s 1st Cap Classique - “Stars in a glass” as Dom Perignon would say. To be drunk anytime, anywhere and for any reason. Celebrate life!! S.A.`s biggest export bubbly.
