Spicy, vanilla and mocha flavours unfold on the palate with a hint of pencil shavings, so typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. Full bodied with a smooth tannin structure holding lots of promise for further improvement with careful cellaring. Reliable, characterful & wallet-friendly. Tomato/plum tones have savoury nuances courtesy dashes merlot, cabernet franc. 21 mths Fr/Am oak (76/24), 13% new. (Platter 2009) Vibrant and muscular with lovely, deep, cassis and cherry fruits on the palate. An elegant wine to be enjoyed with hearty dishes and good company.
