Steenberg Merlot 2009
This deep purple Merlot has great fruit concentration, with hints of spice, aniseed and licorice. It is multi-faceted, with blueberry and dark chocolate aromas on the nose; and black and red berry intensity on the palate. Rich but subtle oak flavours provide this wine with a long, full savory finish. Best enjoyed with lamb roasts and good conversation. (2006 AVAILABLE IN 1.5ltr)

This deep purple Merlot has incredible fruit concentration. Multi-faceted, with violets, incense and hints of soft spearmint on the nose. Black and red berry intensity on the palate, together with rich but subtle oak flavours and ripe tannins provide this wine with a long, full finish. Opulent 07‘s mulberries & plums highlighted by mint & vanilla oak. Intense, rich & rounded; hedonistic sweet fruit reined in by fresh acidity, tannic nibble, savoury finish. Deserves 5+ yrs ageing. 14 mths new oak. (Platter 2009) This merlot has an incredible concentration of fruit with violets, plums and hints of eucalyptus on the nose. Subtle oak flavours and ripe tannins give this wine a long finish. This wine has won numerous awards over the last few years, including Trophies for the “Best Merlot World Wide” and “Best South African Red” at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London.
