Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc 2011

The wine is dominated by lovely tropical notes of litchi and guava on the nose, fading into green pepper and asparagus as it opens up. A crisp line of acidity carries the wine beautifully, with a firm and lingering aftertaste. Great for those long summer days!

Typical gooseberry overtones and a gentle scent of tropical fruit. This Sauvignon Blanc reflects the fresh, flinty and full-bodied characteristics of grass, peppers and fruit. A long, firm lasting finish.

From the Old World comes the typical grassiness and gooseberry overtones and from the New World, a gentle scent of tropical fruit. This Sauvignon Blanc reflects the fresh, flinty and full-bodied characteristics of grass, peppers and fruit. A long, firm lasting aftertaste.

08 v much in house style: cool-climate ‘green’ notes, some riper gooseberry & papaya aromas/flavours too, thrilling acidity, long ‘wet slate’ mineral finish. (Platter 2009)

Made in typical Loire style, with a luscious mouthfull of tropical fruit and gooseberry flavours.

Steenberg`s sauvignon blancs have intense herbaceous and tropical complexity which is only really achieved in cool growing areas - the Loire, New Zealand and Constantia.

The wine captures fantastic fruit characteristics ranging from gooseberry to ripe fig. The palate is fresh and crisp with a ripe fruity finish which complements spicy foods and fish.
