Cassis cherries and cedar with underlying hints of toasted oak and lead pencil. A great purity of fruit showing dense dark fruit with a hint of mocha and spice.

Appealing, pleases with cassis tones, spicy touches. Incremental splashes of merlot, petit verdot. 18 mths oak, 30% new. For earlier drinking than flagship (Platter 2009) The nose shows intense cassis and cedar followed by a palate of great purity of fruit and spice.
