Maiden 07, cabs s/f & shiraz, mid-2007 shows strawberry & raspberry flavours, softened by smidgen sugar (5 g/l). (Platter 2009) The wine has a delicate reddish pink colour reminiscent of dried rose petals. Emanating from the glass are wonderful red fruit flavours with dominant mulberry and ripe strawberry whiffs. On the palate the wine reveals an initial nutty undertone with a perfect balance between fruit, sweetness and acidity.
