|Jean Engelbrecht, along with his friends Dillie
Malherbe and Jannie Durand, set out to create a wine that would not only
embody all that is Stellenbosch, but that would also pay homage to this great
town at the heart of the Cape winelands. Each wine in this range pays tribute
to an historical landmark in Stellenbosch.

Stellenbosch Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
The imposing character of the old University building erected to commemorate the bicentennial of Stellenbosch in 1879, inspired this full-bodied, complex Cabernet Sauvignon, packed with typical Stellenbosch character including intense black berries, cedar, tobacco and tightly integrated oak spice that lingers on a smooth and concentrated lingering finish.
Stellenbosch Reserve Merlot
A full-bodied, plush and juicy, well balanced Merlot that pays tribute to the oldest Seminary for Dutch Reformed ministers at the Faculty of Theology in Stellenbosch, called the 'Kweekskool'. The supple texture and ample ripe plum, mulberry and black cherry character is etched with well integrated oak spice and supported by a sleek, smooth finish.
Stellenbosch Reserve Vanderstel
A bold Bordeaux-styled blend that pays tribute to one of Stellenbosch’s oldest buildings, the Vanderstel. Expect silky dark fruit flavours elegantly integrated with the gentle use of the oak barrels for a creamy texture on the mid-palate.
