Mulderbosch Steen op Hout Chenin Blanc
A powerful nose of guava, lime zest and ripe pear braced by honeysuckle and orange blossoms. A juicy palate with opulent passion-fruit, following through from the nose and finishing off with tart grapefruit characteristics.
Mulderbosch Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé
The nose combines aromas of ripe blood-orange, cherry drops and blackcurrant cordial with fragrant sandalwood whiffs. The gorgeously weighted palate balance juicy fruit flavours of fresh cherry and watermelon with racy acidity and finishes on a pleasantly persistant, zesty note.
Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc Noble Late Harvest
Powerfully aromatic, displaying cinnamon, stewed apples and wafts of oven-crisppie crust. The palate is wonderfully intense with toffee apple flavours, quince paste and botrytis spice all accentuated by a lifted, pithy citrus aromatic which leads onto the bright and persistent finish.
Mulderbosch 1000 Miles Sauvignon Blanc
The palate is marked by thrilling acidity and a fine mineral texture, with a core of intense Sauvignon flavours leading deep into the finish. Fine vineyards from a very fine year have resulted in this exciting expression of Sauvignon Blanc.
Mulderbosch Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc Vineyard Block A
Lively in appearance, this wine displays bright aromas of summer blossoms and notes of dried mango. The dry, seamless palate is finely textured and succulent thanks to concentrated fruit flavours and refreshing acidity.
Mulderbosch Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc Vineyard Block S2
With its deep golden colour and rich, earthy flavour profile, this is a serious Chenin Blanc. On the nose there are decadent aromas of burnt caramel and pie-crust which amplify the wine’s rich character. The palate, whilst dry and savoury, has bright, piercing acidity which counterbalances subtle saline notes and provides the wine with a lengthy, penetrating finish.
Mulderbosch Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc Vineyard Block W
Deep golden in appearance, Block W displays richness, finesse and power. Herbal aromatics are complemented by truffle notes, yet there is a layer of confected, tangy citrus fruit that lifts the wine. Very fine acidity and a mineral texture create a tautly structured palate that is both powerful and persistent yet retains a roundness and accessibility.
Mulderbosch Barrel Ferment Chardonnay
Green hues are reflected within the wine’s straw yellow core. Initially a harmonious balance of ripe tropical and zesty citrus notes envelope the nose, yet peel away to reveal rays of subtle spicy aromas. This restrained, yet vibrant core of complexing
characters provides the palate with amplitude, and ensures a mouthwatering fi nale of generous, yet classy length.
Mulderbosch Brut Méthode Cap Classique
Richly styled, this is a powerful MCC displaying a complex
bouquet of aromas. There is a steely mineral quality to it which just manages to
offset the slightly ripe yellow cling peach and summery floral notes.
Mulderbosch Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc thrives on the free draining ‘koffieklip’ soils at Mulderbosch Vineyards on the Southern slopes of the Stellenbosch Kloof. Deeply coloured, wonderfully dense yet with a vibrant rim showing the wine has life. The initial nose is one of subtle sandalwood spice and dried figs, but almost immediately a wonderful perfume of Turkish delight becomes evident. It is certainly ripe in style, but retains an austere note that reminds one this is indeed classic Cabernet Franc. The palate has great length, a core of bright red fruit, and abounds in subtle savoury notes.
